About the Role

Exhibitions and Outreach at the Art Bank includes a variety of activities that support the Art Bank mandate: exhibitions in Âjagemô, loans to museums and galleries, and outreach activities that promote greater access to and visibility of Canadian art.

The summer student will develop content for a series of short videos in English and in French about the Art Bank collection. Related to Council’s strategic priorities, themes for the videos will be determined with the Art Bank team, in consultation with the Communications team.

Highlighting key aspects of the collection, the videos will be used to promote the collection through various online channels, including the Art Bank website and Art Bank and Council social media channels.

The objective of these videos is to encourage people to explore and understand contemporary Canadian art. In discovering the Art Bank collection through diverse artists and art practices, the videos aim to provide an opportunity for people to engage with their own cultural and artistic heritage as well as that of others. The videos will also showcase the breadth of the collection and bring forward the Art Bank expertise.

The target audience for the videos is broad, from artists, curators and researchers to art enthusiasts and clients from the Art Bank art rental program.
