Andhra Pradesh, AP Election Results 2024 Lok sabha Election Highlights: TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu celebrated his landslide win in the Andhra Pradesh elections on Tuesday. The NDA alliance, comprising TDP, BJP, and Janasena, achieved a huge victory in Andhra, securing 21 parliamentary and 164 assembly seats. The breakdown of Lok Sabha seats saw TDP winning 16, BJP three, and Janasena two, significantly weakening the YSRCP which won just 4 seats. Given that BJP couldn’t secure a majority alone in the Lok Sabha, TDP’s 16 seats are of extreme significance to the NDA. In the Assembly elections, TDP captured 135 out of 175 seats, Janasena secured 21, and BJP eight, while YSRCP only managed to secure 11 seats, as per the Election Commission data. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer accepted Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s resignation on Tuesday. Naidu is expected to take oath as the Andhra CM on June 9.
