Newton, 60, Neenah, passed away Friday, January 17, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2013, at the Kessler Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the Charlotte Charlotte J. Merholtz, 77, Appleton, passed away on January 17, 2014 at her home with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Char was born on March 14, 1936 in Shiocton to the late Arthur and Martha (Jahnke) Conradt. She was a graduate of Shiocton High School. On February 16, 1957 she married Marlyn Merholtz at First Lutheran Church in Shiocton. She was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Appleton and served on the church's Altar Guild. Char was a very strong woman.

During her battle with cancer, you could never hear her complain. She enjoyed cookouts and get togethers with family and friends. Char also loved animals and was a regular donor to the Humane Society. For over 20 years, Char had her "Breakfast which is her mall walking group. She also enjoyed having regular lunch dates with friends and will be sadly missed by many.

Cathy i Chris Keller MD Robert Bechard MD Robert Prehn Mark Thompson, age 50, passed away at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay on Friday, January 17, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born in Green Bay on August 23, 1963, son of the late Marshall Thompson and Doris (Hansen) Thompson who still resides in Green Bay.

Mark was a 1982 graduate of the Ashwaubenon High School, and received a degree from Carroll College in chemistry, and a degree from UW-Green Bay in computer science. After college, he served in the Army National Guard for four years. Mark held a variety of jobs, but most will remember Mark for his years of employment at SnopKo and his most recent work in IT at Bellin Hospital. Mark had a variety of interests. As a singer, he was a member of the church choir at the various churches he attended over the years, and was recently a member of newVoices.

He loved history, especially war history, and was an avid player of strategy games. He enjoyed reading fantasy novels, Star Trek, and going to the Rennaisance Faire, where he was introduced to his future wife, Marcia. The couple married in Appleton on May 6, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife: Marcia Thompson of Appleton; their two sons: Matthew and Nathan Thompson; his mother: Doris Thompson of Green Bay; a sister: Karen (John) Stangel of Kaukauna; his in-laws: Donald and Joyous Block of Appleton; Marcia's siblings: Jeff (Cheri) Block of Rochester, Minnesota; Karil (Todd) Simmerman 7 I 1 Serving as Hoelzel, Shirley Ann Hoelzel, age 66, of Menasha passed away on Wednesday evening, January 15, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on March 25, 1947 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, daughter of the late William H.

and Elizabeth D. (Zenisek) Gibson. Shirley graduated from Menasha High School in 1965. On June 29, 1968 she married Wayne A. Hoelzel at St.

Patrick's Parish in Menasha. The marriage was blessed with one son, Brian, and 45 wedding anniversaries. In 2012 Shirley retired from SCA Tissue after 42 years, and continued her hard work by volunteering for Sturgeon for Tomorrow. She showed her eagerness to help others by her many deeds, including grocery shopping for her elderly neighbor, Dorothy. Shirley greatest joy was time spent with her beloved family, especially with her grandsons.

She also enjoyed shopping, vacations, and going out to lunch with her husband and their friends.
