PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Colorado Rockies placed Kris Bryant on the 10-day injured list with a low back strain.
The Rockies made the move prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 32-year-old Bryant had missed the last three games after crashing into the outfield wall to make a catch in Saturday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The move was retroactive to April 14.

LA Kings rally late, finish 3rd in the Pacific Division with a 5-4 overtime victory over Chicago
- By GREG BEACHAM - AP Sports Writer
The Los Angeles Kings earned a playoff rematch with Edmonton by jumping into third place in the Pacific Division with a 5-4 overtime victory against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Kings took a two-goal lead into the third period, but promptly blew it when Chicago scored three times in five minutes. But the Kings finally evened it when Viktor Arvidsson scored his second goal of the night with goalie Cam Talbot pulled for an extra attacker. With third place secured by the single point for reaching overtime, Adrian Kempe then won the game with an unassisted goal just six seconds into OT.

The Dallas Stars have a big age gap with players who have come together for No. 1 seed in the West
- By STEPHEN HAWKINS - AP Sports Writer
There is quite an age gap for the Western Conference champion Dallas Stars. Top goal scorer Wyatt Johnston is only 20 years old while Joe Pavelski is 39. The 18-year, 10-month gap between the Stars’ youngest and oldest players is the widest among the Western Conference playoff teams by 2 1/2 years, with Edmonton at 16 years and four months. Toronto is the only team in the postseason with a wider one, with a 21-year-old forward and defenseman Mark Giordano, the only 40-year-old in these playoffs. Stars forward Tyler Seguin says it's cool to have so many different layers of age on the team.

Vatrano's hat trick sends the Ducks to a 4-1 win over the Golden Knights
- By MARK ANDERSON - AP Sports Writer
Frank Vatrano scored three goals and the Anaheim Ducks ended their season on a high note, defeating the playoff-bound Vegas Golden Knights 4-1. The loss could knock the Knights — whose three-game winning streak ended — out of third place in the Pacific Division and into the second Western Conference wild card. Vegas’ destination hinged on the result of a game that started a little later between Los Angeles and Chicago. Vatrano’s goals gave him 37 for the season, a career high. It was his third hat trick this season and the sixth of his career.

MacKinnon has 2 assists, breaks franchise's single-season points mark as Avs beat Oilers 5-1
- By PAT GRAHAM - AP Sports Writer
Valeri Nichushkin scored twice, Nathan MacKinnon added two assists to break the franchise’s single-season points mark and the Colorado Avalanche cruise into the playoffs behind a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. MacKinnon wrapped up the regular season with 140 points (51 goals, 89 assists) to top Peter Stastny’s franchise record of 139 points set in 1981-82 when the club was in Quebec. The speedy MacKinnon couldn’t catch Tampa Bay’s Nikita Kucherov in the race for the Art Ross Trophy, which goes to the leading points scorer. Kucherov wound up with 144 points. Mikko Rantanen, Josh Manson and Zach Parise also scored for Colorado. Dylan Holloway had a power-play goal for the playoff-bound Oilers who rested several starters including Connor McDavid.
